Experiencing Autonomy through Sex Education (EASE)
Sex Education for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)
EASE is a 16-session program that can be taught virtually or in person. Program implementation is thoughtfully constructed based on the access needs of each group. RSEI educators can teach the full curriculum or facilitate an individual lesson topic. EASE was developed for adults but can be adapted for high school and middle school audiences.
The lesson topics include:

- Sexual and Reproductive Anatomy
- Right to Privacy
- Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Gender Expression (SOGIE)
- Reducing Sexual Risk
- Taking Care of Yourself, Taking Care of Your Health
- Assertive Communication Skills
- Choices and Decision-Making
- Positive, Harmful, and Abusive Traits in Relationships
- Romantic Feelings and Romantic Relationships
- Friends, Followers, and Flirts: Navigating the Internet and Social Media
- Exploring Dating
- Feeling Sexy, Sexual Feelings, and Sex
- Anatomy as the Body Ages
