January Webinar: Huge if True! Anti-birth control influencers and the spread of medical misinformation
This webinar will analyze the rise in anti-birth control rhetoric online. We will begin by examining the sociocultural and historical reasons for distrust in birth control, and then unpack the agenda behind some recent anti-birth control campaigns from influencers. Finally, we will fact-check the information and highlight some important messages to convey to young people when mis/disinformation inevitably arises in the classroom.
